Milky Way south of the Canyon

If you want to experience a Time Machine, just go outside on a clear night and gaze up at the stars. The light in this image is approximately 100,000 years old. It left its source one hundred thousand years ago. When we "see things" we are actually seeing the light reflected off of those "things." Therefore, if we could peer closely enough into this light, we would see events that happened a hundred thousand years ago, just as if they were happening right now. The light that recorded the event of your birth is somewhere out there, and you are virtually being born again and again as that light speeds across the universe.
