Bridge line and anchor line
The bridge line, illustrated in red, is the most difficult and takes the longest. She can produce several different types of silk from different glands. She crawls from the top of the shrub on the left, down to the ground, across to the post, and up to the top of the post, laying a strand of non-sticky silk. The then pulls it tight, eating the extra silk, and reinforces the line with several more. This line is not taken down. The anchor line, illustrated in blue, is constructed each night.
